The Fursona of RankWolf

I've been here for about two months now and I've decided its about time to come up with my fursona.

First of all my fursona's name is RankWolf same as my account name. Yes it is one word but the W is capitalized but can be shortened to just Rank (no it doesn't mean that my Ranking is of a wolf there is a long story to this that I won't get into now).

I am a Tundra Wolf with mainly black fur although their is some gray speckled in. While my chin has a good amount of rust hair in it (this for because in real life I have a lot of red in my beard despite having brown hair). I have Hazel colored eyes (realistic and not toony, nothing against the toony look, its just not for me)

I stand around 5'10" (6ft even if you include the ears). I have digigrade legs most likely with bare feet. I have fairly muscular build, nothing to crazy, with a little bit of a gut, (not to skinny not to fat). My tail would also be black and rust colored like my chin.

As for clothing (because you can't always be naked, trust me) Almost always blue jeans, usually with holes in the knees. If its really hot out then I might opt for shorts and show of my legs. Now the shirt is optional, but if I am gonna wear one it will be most likely a band shirt. Probably CKY, but also some bands from my old punks days (Misfits, Rancid, Nofx, etc) or it might just be some crappy cotton T-shirt with a logo on it of some brand I don't give two shits about, oh, never a long sleeve btw.

Personality wise its me but a wolf, good sense of humor. likes to hangout, and over all a nice guy. Although a little braver.

But there you have it the Fursona of RankWolf. BTW this will most likely evolve over time.

Weekend/Easter/Random

Good weekend. Thursday I got home and then went to my friend's house, hung out with him another friend, made some of my famous nachos (they're famous because I want them to be). Friday did nothing followed by going to work. Saturday went to work again.

BTW I work at a mall and by the store that I work in is near the easter bunny, now in the past I wouldn't give this guy a second thought but now that I'm a furry I do have to wonder whether the guy in the six foot bunny costume is a furry, or some guy who needed a job. Either way the bunny scene doesn't even have to do with Easter, its set up like Alice in Wonderland. maybe the Mall's being PC, maybe there was a sale in Alice in Wonderland sets, I don't Know.

Saturday night went to my Aunt and Uncles house for dinner. My brother had us watch the Movie Zodiac, which is an awesome movie but it is to long for nights like that.

Then finally Easter Sunday, I went to church with my family, Mass ran 30 minutes longer than it usually does, but I only really go twice a year (Christmas and Easter) then went home, had a large dinner, hungout with family, played some Rock Band. Then to top it all off My mom decided to depress everyone by having us watch Marley and Me, which is never a good idea when you have a 13 year old dog.

Anyway that was my weekend. Looking forward to this week as I have a short week, as I am skipping classes on Thursday to go to training for work in NYC.

One Month, and School

I have survived my first month as a furry. (I know, its no big deal but I feel like I needed a topic for a journal and I looked at the date to realize that its been a month) So, YAY. Its been a good month, I have meet some nice people online, and found out a lot about furries, like a lot of them are into guns, cars, and Heavy Metal, which is cool.

I have also been able to set some goals. One is to go to a fur meet (so far work keeps getting in the way of this one). Two is to go to a Furry Convention (I'm eyeing FurFright). and Three is to one day get my self a fursuit (this one may not happen for a while as I first need a new car, an apartment, pay off my student loans and become somewhat financially sound) but I do want one.

Other than That, School sucks. I'm in my fourth year but am still a Junior, and I need 11 more classes to graduate. My school doesn't even offer some of the classes that are considered requirements for my major, which makes it hard to meet those requirements. At this point I'm just so sick of school, I find it very hard to give a crap, and do my work. But I know I have to stick with it, and just graduate. Once I've graduated I'll just be happy to get it over with, unless of course I do find that I need Grad School. Because, 4 going on 5 years of school I still haven't learned what I need to work in Film and TV.

Even with all this crap with school, I'm still just happy to have found a place where I can talk to people like myself (as lame as that sounds).

EDIT: I can't wait to have my own apartment next semester, Currently my suitemate, (who doesn't seem to grasp that there are other people in the world) is blasting Rap as loud as he can, AAAHHHHHHHH

Back from Break

Well I'm back at school, Spring break is over and it was to short. Looking back it just seamed to short, it mainly consisted of me working or sitting on my ass (I do wish I had more sitting on my ass time). The only big thing I did was visit the American Museum of Natural History in NYC. Which was a blast, they have so many cool exhibits including dinosaur fossils. (also check out my last post about the Native American furries). We then took the subway to Time Square for some major disappointment. (overpriced food, and Toys 'R Us just sucked) next we decided to walk to the Empire State Building, and after being stopped my a million bums asking for money we arrived to find it cost $20 to go to the top. Then we gave up and took the train home. Its a good thing the Museum was so awesome or the trip would have sucked.

Other than that the only other high light was watching my favorite movie RED DAWN (yes I know it is very cheesy and overly dramatic at times, but its such a good premise) anyway long story short my friend didn't like it :'(

Well I got back to school and everything is back to normal, expect I just found out that one of my soda cans exploded all over my fridge. So it looks like a fun rest of the semester.

Furry History

Sunday I visited the American Museum of Natural History in NYC with my friends (non-furries). While we were looking around at all the exhibits I stubbled across this display in the Northwest Coast Indians Exhibit. It show three Indians basically dressed in Fursuits, made of wolfs skin and complete with masks. I snapped some pics but I only had my iPhone so they aren't that great, but take a look.

Spring Break and random thoughts

So my Spring break starts tomorrow. I'm really looking forward just being able to sit back relax and not be Stuck in a 10x12 room all day. So far what I have planned out sounds pretty good. I'm gonna go to the City on sunday with my friends and go to the Museum of Natural History, which is something I haven't done since I was in middle school. One big thing I have been craving recently and must now do over break is watch Red Dawn. I don't know there is something about this movie that makes me want to watch it over and over. If you have never seen Red Dawn I suggest you do.

Also beat Resident Evil 5 over the weekend and I just want to say a few things about it.
1. It is not scary: I am really upset with this, I remember when I couldn't for the life of me play a Resident Evil game alone. This one is all action, some of the enemies are scary looking but the game itself just isn't
2. The game is to linear. You used to have to think of where you needed to go, and when you got their you needed to turn around and go back to get the crest, or serum, or key, or whatever.
3. No puzzles. Ok so maybe there are some, but they are not the make you think, and investigate kind. No need to examine anything or combine it with something else. Everything is just to obvious.
4. No mystery. The entire game has no mystery of how this happened you already know from the past games. Every loose end it explained. The only really mystery there is, is so obvious that you can't really call it that.

Saying all of that I still enjoyed the game, it was fun. I just wished they called it something else and make a true Resident Evil game, one that is survival horror. I'm probably going to play it again over spring break with my Brother in Co-op.

I hope you have enjoyed my pointless rant as much as I have.

So tomorrow will mark my one week of being a furry. So far I have really enjoyed it, It is just nice to be honest with my self and have a forum that allows me to share with others. Everyone here has been really nice and welcoming I want to thank everyone especially Camo Husky, Coyote and Jaystarlight, for their willingness to befriend a noobie like me.

Thanks

Opening up

So, recently I have decided to open up and really explore who I really am. My whole life I have know I was different, I never really got the memo about growing up. I have always felt out of place, always had to keep thoughts to myself. I've really always been into Anthros and Anthro Art, but I have never really expressed that to any one. Then the other day while browsing around youtube I find all videos of people fursuiting and it really caught my attention. A little more research and I discover this thing called the Furry Fandom. Finally a place for other people like me, suddenly I don't feel so along. So I muster up the courage and started posting on site. I just feel very relieved to be able to talk about this.
